From sin's darkness to light,

from the old to the new,

a rescue directive,

no natural man could do.

From the curse to the Cross,

from Satan to the Son,

surety of forgiveness,

given by the Father's love

From unrighteous to righteous,

from shame to His glory,

freed from condemnation,

wooed by His grand love story.

From wandering to purpose,

from weakness to His power,

a life that finds endurance,

from His grace for every hour.

From beggar to royal child,

from pauper to rich heir,

given freely His vast treasures,

with others now to share.
